Hi are there any grocery shops on the island to buy , small amounts of grocery, bread , coffee, tea etc

According to the link you should bring your own supplies although there is a kiosk at Tipplers campground that sells basic groceries

I have been to South Straddie and can't remember seeing one, that was a few years back. David has found there is now, you can expect to pay huge prices on the island.
The best bet, is to go to Coles or Woolworths grocery shop at the shopping centre "Australia fair" Southport, {I am guessing you will leave from somewhere around there, I did} and buy the small amounts you need, will be much cheaper and you have good choice.
