Two couples in our 60's will be stopping over for 3 days in Singapore in May next year. Any recommendations on reasonable priced, clean, comfortable hotels in a central area would be appreciated. Also any must sees for a 3 day stay?
You might want to try this website; www.trivago.sg that helps you to find the cheapest price for the hotel.
Just stayed in the Park Clarke Quay which was quite nice.
What to see depends on your interests. You can do a river cruise; visit the old colonial heart of Singapore at Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, the padang, Saint Andrews Cathedral, Raffles Hotel.
China town and Little India are good. The Chinese and Japanese gardens are great, so are the botanic gardens.
People love the zoo and night safari. I have not done these.
Mount Canning is interesting. You could take a cable car from Mount Faber to Sentosa Island.
There are lots of war remains: Changi Museum and chapel for example.
check out Agoda for Furama hotels, all over Singapore, decent and clean enough!
Stayed in 2 now,one in Bangkok,and Singapore!
