Unfortunately the bus and MRT don't drive between approximately midnight and 6am. Even during the day taking the buss will take about an hour. I would suggest a taxi. It's more expensive, but only 20 minutes.

Taxi is your only option. Unfortunately, the regular taxis only accept 4 passengers. You can ask a larger vehicle or take 2 taxis to reach to your hotel. Also keep in my mind that you may lose some time in the customs and luggage collection. So you may be ready to go not before 1:45 am.

U can take airport shuttle for $9 per person. Go to ground transport desk at arrival hall. Or take two taxis. Be aware there will be airport surcharge after midnight. So it will about $28 to $30 per taxi. About $10 more than taking shuttle. Not much of a difference. If u all want to stick together then take the shuttle.

Best Option at that hour would to ask for a 7-8 seater taxi from the airport taxi operator's counter. There is a maxi-cab counter just after immigration and counter.

best to approach the official airport transport desk.. they will direct u to the respective transport companies. If u need a large cab it will cost will u $60. Be aware of illegal taxi touts. Singapore is modern but touts do exist. Go to the taxt rank, follow the clear direction or approach transport desk. If u look lost and someone approach u to offer some sort of services, ignore them.

Just take a cab going to your hostel. It's more convenient. Prepare at least SGD30 for your cab fare, which is the usual price including midnight surcharge and airport booking. Taxi stations are easy to find around Changi. You won't miss them.
