I keep researching about the parking near the ferry terminal. In Lot 4 it seems there's only one spot numbered Zone 924 where u can use this Parkmobile App to pay for parking with a 35 cents fee. But it also states you can pay 3 days in advance according to the website but according to the Parkmobile website you actually have to be physically present then initiate the start of your parking session time. Has anyone used this Parkmobile app payment feature or parked at the Sausalito Ferry Terminal Lot 4 that can tell me if there is plenty of parking for visitors. I don't understand if this Parkmobile is so the "in" thing why they would only have one stall for it in Lot 4. It would be so convenient for all the spots to be marked this way!
How early should we get there to park in Sausalito near the Ferry Terminal? After reading, I found that you can pay 5$ for all day fee in what is called Lot #4 near The Taste of Rome & Bay St. Which means absolutely nothing to me so if someone has better directions to show me on google maps I'd much appreciate it. Also, I hope this information is correct. We are planning to take the Sausalito ferry to the San Francisco Ferry Building on the first boat at 7:10am. From there we have plans to go on the Alcatraz tour at 9:30am. I need to know how early do we need to get to the Sausalito Ferry parking to get a spot so we can get on the ferry & not miss our tour. I did read there are a lot of reserved spots in lot 4 and that you can pay 25$ for lot 3 & 2. We will be going on the ferry on a Wednesday in August. Thanks in advance
My wife and I will be in Marin county for a day. We like the outdoors as well as shopping/dining. Any recommendations as the "must see" areas. The coast looks interesting but what is the best part? Is Sausalito worth the visit?
If we take a ferry into San Francisco for an evening tour of Alcatraz, what do you suggest we do to get back into Sausalito if the last scheduled ferry has already departed? Taxi?
I ate at a little place for breakfast a number of years ago in Sausalito.
They had the most unbelievable blueberry pancakes and a huge delicious breakfast. It was on the main road coming into Sausalito...if I remember correctly. We're going back with friends and I'd love to impress them with that delicious breakfast.
I appreciate any help from a "local".
