We are travelling from Canada to St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. There is no direct flight to get there. We heard there are ferries that go there from places like Aruba and Puerto Rico... is this fact? If yes, where would we go to find out specific schedules & costs, etc.?
You should fly to St. Thomas USVI
That's the problem. The carrier I would be taking doesn't fly to the USVI...
Who is it? and why would you take it if it doesn't go to where you want to go?
LOL! Fair enough question. The whole point is that I am trying to get one of our tickets for free on points with Air Canada; they do fly to Aruba, and that's why I wanted to see if there is a ferry from Aruba to St. John, because I heard there was... or perhaps a ferry from Aruba to St. Thomas, and then we could ferry from St. Thomas to St. John. I have a feeling we will probably end up having to pay for both air fares as opposed to only one...
Air canada is partners with United Airlines and you can get a ticket with them. They go to Saint Thomas. Aeroplan can help you better than they have
O.K. Canada, listen up eah, your first great mistake is chosing to go to the u.s. islands the crime is worst than visiting the ghetto in washington dc, I use to live in st. thomas, and I'm an american! there are three golden rules in the carribean where not to go, #1 any u.s. islands #2 puerto rico #3 jamaca you won't enjoy your stay, the british virgin islands is a whole new world safe, clean and friendly. take my advise
That bad? In St. John too?
Ok, that's good to know, thanks! Another question for you... what is the best time of year to go there weather wise?
Also, is crime that horrible in St. John?
