When is the best time to visit Los Andes?
Dad and I would like to take a rafting trip down the Futaleufu. Can anyone recommend a good company to go with? We're looking for the cheapest without lacking safety!
Hello, please give me your opinion. I am on a cruise that offers a canopy adventure at the Alerce lodge, I am trying to find out information on how good this adventure is, and can't get anything. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? is it worth the time and money to do this? approx 150 US per person or should I look at the river rafting trip instead. please help, many thanks...
We planned to go to 1 day trip to summit of Osorno volcano in April, but all Internet sites show that it is very expensive (150-200$ pp) and also possible in groups of 3 people only. We are 4 people.
Any ideas about operators who does it cheaper and allows larger groups?
Also, on the same night I will need to leave to Pucon. What is the best way to get there?
We recently climbed Villarica Volcano and want to climb others. Has anyone climbed other Chilean volcanos - Orsono, Lanin, Llamia,...?
I asked a similar more general question awhile back but I think I can be more specific now. My sister and I will have 3 days in the Lagos region in the last week of November and I don't know where we should go. Things I am interested in doing/seeing: volcano, hiking, horsebackriding, hot baths, and any other unexpected and adventurous thing. I don't want a big touristy town, but I also don't want to be the only tourists there. If a certain place tends to have better food, that would be great. Villarica has been suggested to my sister. I'm not sure which parque nacional is the best for us to go to, which makes it harder to choose a city...Any help would be great.
I am planning on going to the Región de Los Lagos at the end of November (haven't decided where yet). I am very familiar with the bus sytems in Chile, but know almost nothing about the trains. Which would you suggest, a bus or train? Any more information or websites I could go to in order to find out more would be much appreciated.
I can get a really good hotel rate at Termas Puyehue. Has anyone been to this hotel? Are there a lot of activities to do here? We were thinking to rent a car from Puerto Montt and drive to the hotel. How is the road? Anyone done this? We have about 4-5 days to spend in the Lakes District and we are trying to get the best of it. Is it easy to book local tours in the District or should we book them in Santiago? We are going to Chile Nov 6
I´ve got a week or two to see a bit of the Lakes District in Argentina & Chile in August. I´ll be travelling alone by bus on a budget. Any suggested itineraries? What is there to do in winter? What are good things to see. I´m not too much of an adventure person, but I will do some things. Any short scenic walks that anyone can recommend, or is it just too cold for that sort of thing this time of year? Any ski resorts with a bit of a party atmoshphere that aren´t too expensive? Budget accommodation and transport tips by bus would be appreciated. Thanks!
I'm planing to visit the South of Chile in September, Is it possible to drive from Puerto Mott to Punta Arenas?
We are staying for 3 days in Puerto Montt. I would like to know any suggestions on 1 day long scenic excersions with a car from P. Montt and back, just to get the taste of the Region. I' m thinking Chiloe and Vicente Perez Rosales NP. Do you aggree ?
