Anybody interested to go to Anawangin in Zambales from May 14 - 16, 2010 and share with the expenses like gasoline, toll fees, boat, etc? Please PM me.
Looking for a beach resort in Zambales with pool-side air-conditioned rooms, generally quiet environment without videokes or bands and with water-sports activities. A massage spa or services would also be nice! Thanks!!!
My friend's planning a trip to Anawangin. Haven't heard much of the place. Anybody here who knows about the place, activities that can be done there, accessibility, etc.
We reserved a room in Capones Beach Resort Feb 13-14. Any suggestions/comments on the said resort?
We will be coming from the hot air balloon festival in Pampanga. We plan to be there by 4:30am. We want to witness the take off kasi.
(a)Is 4:30 early enough? What time is the take off?
(b)What time should we depart from Manila considering the anticipated traffic due to the event.
From Pampanga, we will drive directly to Zambales. Our check in time is 3pm.
(c)How many hours would it take to drive to Zambales particularly to Capones beach resort??
(d) At what time would it be best to leave Pampanga?
(e) Is Capones beach resort also an island? Does it mean we have to ride a boat to get there?
We also want to go to Anawangin. We are thinking of going directly to Anawangin from Pampanga then check in at resort. OR go Sunday Morning.
(f)If we go to Anawangin Saturday at around lunch time, would it be too hot?
(g)If we go Sunday Morning, what is your suggested time?
(h)Also, our check out time in Capones is 12nn. We might be too rushed to go back to resort and thus wont enjoy Anawangin much.
(i)How much is the two-way boat ride to Anawangin from Capones resort?
(j)How long will the boat wait for us?
(k)Would it be okay to go to Anawaning Saturday afternoon? 3pm to 6pm? Or would it be too dark?
Would appreciate any inputs. Thanks thanks.
Hi guys, any suggestions on a good beach resort in Zambales. My friends dont feel like hiking (as i assume we will do if we decide to go to Anawangin) and just wants some RnR.

Hi VTers. We will be going to Anawangin via boat. Question is do we need guides when just exploring the nearby hills in Anawangin (i.e. for sunset viewing)? Coz i know you'll need guides when trekking from PUndaquit to Anawangin.
Thanks in advance for your help! =)
Anyone heard of this Nagsasa Cove? I saw a picture of it in CNN/travel.com
Might be interesting...
We're going on a trip going to Anawangin and Potipot but not staying in resorts in that area. Is it possible for us to park our car somewhere near the shore of the jump off points to this site? Are there available and safe parking lots?
We are going to Zambales for an overnight trip and plan to visit anawangin and potipot. Is this feasible to do on just a weekend? What is the recommended route? Anawangin to Potipot or Potipot to Anawangin? thanks.
Hi. How far is San Narciso, Zambales to Candilaria, Zambales? We are planning on going to Potipot for a daytrip and then going to a resort in San Narciso. I am wondering how much travel time we need to get to San Narciso.
we are a group of friends planning to go to anawangin via trek. none of us have gone here before and we are just relying on blog information and we'll be hiring a local guide. from what we got, we're assuming it's going to be a relatively easy trail, somewhat similar to pinatubo but taking more time..? (please correct if we're mistaken..) i'm also just wondering if there's more elevation here.. meaning if the slopes are steeper..? or is practically almost level terrain?
we've also read that there have been several deaths last year and previous years.. so we're a bit shaken up. anyone have any thoughts on this?
also.. if anyone would like to join in, we're an open group. we're planning to do this on the 25th. .
Thanks in advance!
can anybody help me and give me some guidelines on these things:
01 how do i commute from pundaquit going back to manila? do i take the tryke again at pundaquit to san antonio? and what time do you recommend we leave in the afternoon?
02 on the reasonable boat fares and other expenses like entrance fees on the islands?
03 how much is the tryke fare from san antonio to pundaquit and vice versa?
thanks in advance!!! it'll help a lot. =)
We will be staying at pundaquit resort this Saturday night (Oct 18). We are planning to go on a boat ride from Pundaquit to Capones this Sunday morning. We are hearing reports that the waves are really high (and some forum reports of drowning incidents), my friends are hesitant to go there because of this. Is this true? Can you suggest of a safer way to get there? Or do you suggest to go to the Camara Island, which is nearer, or to Anawangin cove instead? A bigger boat is also an option for our group of 12 people. Thanks to your reply!
My travel friends and I are planning to visit potipot, anawangin and capones islands. Our target date will be on November 29-30 (hopefully there's no typhoon).
We dont have a car so we will just commute. Is it hard to look for buses going to San Antonio from Candelaria? We're planning to have a day trip to potipot and another day trip at anawangin-capones because we dont have a tent. Maybe we will have an overnight stay in any resort in Pundaquit.
Is this possible? Thanks in advance
i'm interested to spend 1 night at anawangin, before heading to alaminos for the hundred islands. my question would be:
1. how far is Alaminos from San Antonio, Zambales?
2. are there buses going directly to alaminos from san antonio, zambales?
3. are there boat schedules going to anawangin? if so, what's the last trip?
these are just initial questions, i'll still have to see whether its feasible.
i'm planning to go Oct 1 (if there's no typhoon)
