Is the Pompeii Ruin open year-round or seasonal? We plan to visit in two weeks (the 2nd week of Feb. 2009).
Appreciate your information!
Pompeii is open all year, although opening times vary.

From 1 April to 31 October: every day from 8.30 to 19.30 (last entrance 18.00)

Leics has given you good information.
Maybe it's already obvious, but 'll mention it anyway. It's a good idea to plan your trip on a good weather day as there's almost no shelter, and walking around Pompei's streets in rain is not fun.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to call them to be sure they'll be open on time.
I've been to Pompei five times, and TWICE the workers at the site were on strike (complete with parade and banners), so they opened about 2 hours late, and once the Circumvesuviana (and all the buses in Naples) were on strike.
If there's going to be a strike in Italy, it won't be a surprise. One of the most organized things in Italy are the strikes.
