We are docking quite late on Feb. 2, 2014, from 12 -6pm via a cruise. Is it possible and worthwhile to pay for a private tour to see the top islands (J. Bond Island) or touring the famed Phang Nga Bay?
What about a drive to see the elephants on the Kok Chang Safari?
Please suggest a local tour company that we can book with. Thank you very much.
I would recommend you take a tour of Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island, as the islands are extremely beautiful and picturesque, so don't miss it while you are in this part of the world. I am sure that there will be locals waiting to escort you around as soon as your cruise ship arrives so arrange your private tour by longboat asap so you can enjoy your afternoon
Don't miss out on Pang Nga Bay ... absolutely among the most beautiful sights we've seen!
Hi [VT member 13c6c7],
Thank you [VT member 13c6c7] your suggestion. Is there a reputable and competitively priced local tour company that you can suggest that we check out. I am familiar with Tour by Locals -- and unfortunately the guide tends to be pricy....
Thanks [VT member 13c6c7] much for your assistance with this location!
Yes on the suggestions of what not to miss. A few suggestions of names of co's to contact would even be more helpful and much welcome!
sorry, i have not been there for a while so someone else may help you with that. Of course the place is over run with tourists so prices are high
We booked our tours at a small tour-desk just at the end of Banglaroad at Patong.
These tours are offered everywhere. I think that mist of the hoteld can direct you to a reliae company.
If you have a look at the tips posted here at VT you might find recommendations on which company to use or not to use.
