I will be travelling on the 11th of June to Lourdes and will be arriving in Pau by Transavia at 21.00 hrs.Is it too late for us to catch a train to Lourdes from Pau train station? Where can I find a train schedule for trains from Pau to Lourdes and return?
You could try looking at the SNCF website here:
which is a little easier to use, although only in French.
Bahn.de is by far the easiest site to find all European train times and details. You only need to try SNCF (or anyone else) if you want fares as well.
It is a short journey (30 minutes or so). Last train on weekdays is at 22.20 so you might just catch it, if you get out of the airport quickly.
I think the TGV from Paris calls into Pau just after 11pm but I guess you may need to book a seat on it. Not sure about that because whilst it may be chocker with pilgrims I would think by the time it reaches Pau there will be space.
I still don't understand French Railways.
You can get a ticket using http://www.tgv.co.uk/ in advance. It only costs a few pounds.
Thank you gentlemen! You're information was indeed very useful and accurate. Thanks again!
