Are there tours starting inside the park or do you have to take the bus from ElCalafate to do one of the walks on the glacier?
I am traveling to Patagonia, including to El Calafarte, with my young toddler son (15 month old by then). I am considering doing the Hielo y Aventura's Minitrekking, carrying him in a backpack carrier.
Is this realistic? How easy is it to walk on the ice? Are you stable enough? How warm/cold would it be over the New Year season?
