I'm getting a job proposal in Oradea Romania and I need to take a decision but I need to know what is the cost of living there. I have some questions and it will help me to much if someone can answer me as soon as possible.
I'm from México they are ofering me 9,000 RON (3,000USD)monthly, I have 3 doughters 2, 3 and 10 years old and my wife.
- What is the salary rate for Industrial Engineers in Oradea?
- What is the average cost of renting a house of at least 3 bedrooms in a good zone?
- What is the average cost of groceries for a family of 5 (monthly)?
- What is the average cost of Services like water, electricity, gas, internet, cable, etc.
- What is the average cost of having a brand new small car?
- What is the cost of transportation?
- What is the cost of Kindergarden and Elementary Schools? are they good?
- The public schools are good?
- The medical hospitals are good?
- What is the cost of a good dinner per person in a good restaurant?
- Are there fun places for kids?
I think with this questions I could have a better idea if the offer is good or bad.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Well 3000USD/month is about 12 times the medium wage in Romania. So it is not bad at all.
Well an industrial engineer receives in Romania probably around 400-700 EUR depending on company.
3 bedrooms in a good zone might cost around 400-600 EUR/month
Grocery, not bery expensive - probably around 300- 400/ month
Services - cost together somewhere around 200-300 EUR/month
Transportation - buses/trams - monthly pass/person - 12 EUR
- gasoline - 1 EUR/liter
Brand new small car for 3 kids - 5.000 - 9.000 EUR
Kindergarten/ Elementary School - are in good shape, public schools included
Medical Services in Oradea are OK. The city has a medical University.
Dinner - 10 EUR
Yes, Oradea is like any other city in Europe . parks, malls, fun places for kids, very nice buildings and so on.
Thus it seems that you are probably going to have a very nice lifesstyle with your job offer.
Well I havent seen a lot of Mexico but I got the feeling that life in romania is much saver and the gap between rich and poor is not as drastically visible.
the romanian caracter is somewhat close to that of an Italian or Latino.
Entan muy amigosos! Corruption and pick pocketing is the only bad thing that I can say about this country.
The caracter of the people is very open and friendly and you will be admired as a foreigner.
Ca mexicanu, nu o sa ai probleme, sa inveti limba romana- este forte similar cu spaniola sau italiana. See you are already getting it.
The education system has a good reputation.
maybe this webpage will give you some more information too:
So you will have an easy time adjusting!
