You can take the Metro from the airport direct to Jesmond. From the map, it seems the nearest station to your B&B is West Jesmond. That is a journey of nine stops and should take no more than 20 minutes (probably less). The trains will be frequent at that time of day. However it looks like about a 10 minute walk from the station to the B&B, giving a total journey time of about 30 minutes

If you will have heavy bags or have walking difficulties you might want to take a taxi from the airport instead but that will cost considerably more. I reckon you'll pay over £30 as opposed to £3.20 per person on the Metro. You should be able to do the journey in a similar time or a little less (it will be rush hour so traffic will be heavier, but that isn't usually a major problem in Newcastle).

As a compromise you might take the Metro but use a taxi for the final part of the trip. There are unlikely to be taxis waiting at West Jesmond or Jesmond stations, so you would need to have a mini-cab firm number and call on arrival, or you could take the Metro instead to the Central Station where there is a taxi rank. I don't think a taxi from there to Jesmond should cost more than £10. That option would probably take the longest though - about 30 minutes to the Central, say 10 minutes to wait for a taxi and another 10 to reach the B&B.

agree with toonsarah but at the West Jesmond station just ring blue line taxi,s 0n 01912626666, they are always parked up close by, so should not wait long
