I will travel to Missouri USA in October 2013 . Have you tried booking or bought airfare ticket using cheap'oair site ? Any info that you can share or experienced using cheap'oair will be highy appreciated.
HI - me and my husband are planning to travel to Missouri later this year - it will be our second only trip to America - the first being Tennessess which we absolutely fell in love with. We will only have 10 days to play with and want to get the best out of our trip so thought rather than stay at one loaction we would pick up a rented car at the airport and just drive and stay over wherevr we get to - but we cant work out which area to focus on first - I like the idea of the SE but the NW sounds great too. We dont mind cities but prefer to explore smaller areas of interest - love the outdoor life and just wnat to chill and soak up teh real atmosphere away from all the usual touristy things Any thoughts?
Possibly visiting Springfield in Missouri next year but would like to see more of the area. Are there any roadtrips worth doing (Route 66?) What about doing a 'triangle' of Chicago, Washington (or New York) and Springfield. Is it possible by Amtrak?
Would love advice.
Hi, Any hotels in St. Louis that are known for being romantic? Celebrating an anniversary and I want it to be special. We are also planning on going to City Museum. Any other suggestions for romantic or fun places to check out are greatly appreciated!
I wanted to take my Wife to the Greenbrier in West Virginia, but she has gotten very ill, and on the list for a transplant. She simply can't handle the travel, nor can we afford to be that far from the transplant center in Columbia MO.
I want to find a luxury resort in Arkansas or Missouri, with a very nice spa for her to relax in.
I want this to be the event of her life. Something she can hang onto through what lays ahead for her. Something she will never forget. I want her waited on hand and foot, with nothing to go wanting.
I realize it won't be cheap, but she has gone from a vibrant 42 year old, to a 46 year old that feels like her body is 100 years old. She worked with abused and neglected kids as a family services investigator, now she needs something for her.
Where would be a good place? What would be utter perfection? She needs a break so badly.
We are still planning our frequently delayed cross-country drive. I understand that the trip between KC and Denver is looong and boooring. We are not on a timetable and would like some info about interesting(if any)minor detours along this leg of our trip. We are NOT campers, hikers, fishermen, or the usual outdoors type.
We are planning a major cross-country trip this Spring and need help. We will be traveling this leg of our trip along I70 and are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant for dinner about 1-2 hours east of St Louis. We'd like easy off, easy on to I70. American, Chinese, Italian, Mediteranean food.
We'd also appreciate reasonable, clean, and safe hotel/motel info for a 2-3 night stay in StL.
I was wondering if anyone knew of some personal stories regarding the Union Covered Bridges' history. Specifically, I had heard a story as a child about a tragedy that happened at the bridge involving a young mother and a little boy. Can anyone shed some light???
Are you allowed to rock climb in the elephant rocks state park?

It is mattd8877 for whom the (search) bell tolls. He is a roamer but if anybody there in his 'home town' knows his current whereabouts please help us to make mutual contact.
It is not a police matter :-) but more important, - the whereabouts of Baton West !! His latest log-in was March this year.
Fingers crossed !

For those of you traveling to Kansas City - if you are interested in a color brochure of the fountains featuring a walking/driving map, please send your name and address to [email]. We will be happy to send one to you. We can also provide multiples for family reunions, class reunions, etc. We have many requests for these lovely brochures.
We are wishing to spend one night in a moderately priced motel in the Lake of the Ozarks area, but would prefer it be off-the-beaten-path, but not far from Hwy. 54 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi. I'm thinking of going with mighty-mo canoe rental in Rocheport on a float trip down the Missouri River. They say that it is safe, but isn't the current an issue for canoe floats? If anybody's gone with this group (Pebble Publishing, Mighty-Mo Canoe Rental) I'd appreciate some feedback before I go signing up my 3rd grader. They say it's kid-friendly, like a slow moving lake? Thanks
I'm planning a road trip across the US and will be passing through Missouri. I hope to see part of the Ozarks. Any suggestions on where to go? I have about three days.
We are considering a move to Missouri or Tennessee. In MO we are looking at the Springfield and Joplin areas. We have 2 boys ages 7 & 9. They are into riding dirtbikes and all outdoor sports. We are coming from California and are tired of the high cost of living, crime, traffic, etc. We don't need much. We are not partiers but we are not homebodies either. We like the great outdoors: mountains, lakes, etc. We may possibly have some family follow us. One of our 10 year old nieces is half black so we are concerned about racism too. Any suggestions would be helpful. THANKS
Hi again all.
I'm taking my other half to St. Louis next week to see my dad. I don't want him to be bored out of his mind. Other than Six Flags and the Arch, what else is there to do for a week? Oh, by the way, my dad is Asian and my man is caucasion. So, any activity that does not require too much communication is greatly appreciated.
I'm looking for location suggestions for an outdoor wedding in the southwestern region of missouri. I have looked into parks and historic sites and am having trouble finding information on how or if certain places can be reserved for such an event. Please let me know of any ideas. Thanks.
Going to St Louis Nov 5 and was wondering if the Bigfoot 4x4 museum is worth the visit. Also, how is the Royale Dumpe Dinner. LMK.
I am traveling to St Louis Nov 5-7, however, this weekend the flight I am taking will have a 3 hour stopover in St Louis. Is there something closeby to the airport that is worth checking out in this short time? Should I just wait in the airport for my flight and just save my energy for when I fly over in November?
Hi I'm an African American and i'm considering moving to Kansas City for work. Are there any social groups/activities for this group. Is the community very large?
Going to Kansas City in a few days.....can anyone recommend the best BBQ places? So many people are telling me to go either to Gates BBQ or Arthur Bryant's. Which is best?
It looks like we found a good rate at the Hampton Inn & Suites Country Club Plaza. Is this a good location central to things to do? The main thing we want to be near is the Royals game and places to drink afterward. We don't mind taking a cab or driving to the stadium. I know it is about 10 miles from the stadium, but would you suggest staying in a hotel in a different area? We don't care too much about price, we just want to be located close enough to good bars and to Kauffman Stadium. The lady on the phone seemed to make it sound as if the Plaza was a good area to be around....should we book this or look for something closer to the stadium? Thanks!
Hi again, What is Lake of the Ozarks like? Are there nice beaches, restaurants, etc... hard to find any concrete information about it online... can someone point me to a good resource? How far is it from STL? I would guess about 2.5 - 3 hours be the distance... sound about right? I'm looking for a good beach/relax weekend place near STL... any other ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks! T.
