Can anyone suggest the best way to get to Middelburg from Brussels National Airport? I am heading to Middelburg this sunday (29/03/09) and there seems to be some rail work over this weekend and I don't find any available train connection on the Brussels/Belgium rail website.. :(
Does anyone knows if taking a taxi is possible from Brussels-Belgium to Middelburg-Netherlands? and how much will that cost?!
According to the Dutch train website (www.ns.nl), it is possible to travel but it will take longer (1h-1.5h more). Buses will be used instead of trains where there's railwork. Probably best to ask at the station...
A taxi one-way will cost at least Euro 150,00 (even with special airport shuttle service).
I've checked: there is extra travel time of about 30 minutes.
Get yourself on any train from Brussels to Roosendaal (NL), get off the train at Roosendaal, take a bus provided by NS (national Dutch rail) to take you to Kruiningen-Yerseke (will be included in your train ticket price). From there, take a train to Middelburg.
Roosendaal-Middelburg should take you 90 minutes (including the extra travel time).
oh and... Roosendaal-Middelburg costs 11,20 euro one-way.
Thanks to All... am ready to set off tomorrow.. :) thanks so much for all your informative response!
