Hi, I am planning a trip for a few months time, looking for a place to stay that is close to the beach at Crosby for Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place' installation and within spitting distance of a train station for transport into Liverpool city centre. Can anyone help with some suggestions?
Many thanks ...
I'll spend two nights is Widnes, but I want to visit Liverpool, I'm a Beatles fan. I have a few questions.
Is it easy to get by bus or train to and from Liverpool? Would it be expensive?:)
How much would a taxi in Widnes cost for about 2 miles?
Also how much would it be the taxi fare from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Widnes.
Is it easy to get by bus from Liverpool Lime Street Station to Strawberry Field, Penny Lane and John & Paul's houses?
I guess that's all for now. Thanks!:)
Just a quick word of warning to anyone going to the Open. There will probably be a rail strike on the Friday and Saturday.
There will be a rail replacement bus but allow a bit longer for your journey!
Im coming over with my son for a visit to Liverpool. We need to get to the Lighthouse on Oakfield Rd in Anfiled by 10 am on Monday morning to see famed Liverpool children's author Brian Jacques. What is the latest we can plan to arrive into the airport and is it best to get a bus/ taxi or train to Anfield from the airport? Thanks a million for your help
Help.. I was born in Hampshire England but moved away & have not been back in over 28 years. I have a grandfather that lives in Wallasey, Merseyside that I desperatley want to meet (as a adult). I live in Texas & need to know what airport is best to fly into? And then what is the cheapest and safest way to travel from Merseyside to London for some additional sightseeing? We plan on staying a night or more in Merseyside & then a couple in London. So is it better to travel by bus or train or risk us "Right side of road drivers" renting a car?? Ha ha..
