Malta

snorkelling in Malta

I'm going to Malta on 26th Feb, will it be warm enough to snorkel? Thanks

I don't think so unless you wear a scuba drysuit!

I agree. Sea temps at the moment in Mellieha bay are around 14-15C (57-59F) ...pretty chilly.

I am writing this in Malta and I can tell you that it is not too warm here at present. I saw one or two hardy (or foolhardy) souls in the sea one day in wetsuits but I really wouldn't fancy it (I am a diver myself). It looks like drysuit conditions to me and who wants to snorkel in a drysuit? Also the sea is fairly choppy most days so I would cancel the idea if I were you.
