Does anyone know of a hotel that will allow 3 to a room, one near the center of London that isn't tooo expensive?
What do you call "too expensive"? Are the the three people 2 parents plus child? A bit more detail will help get a more helpful answer.
Couldn't the geographical area be larger in size than the question? That way the eye is drawn to the city/town/location and, in my opinion, would be much more effective.
www.travelodge.co.uk is probably your easiest option. They have several London hotels. The prices are per room most of which have a sofa-bed which you can make-up yourself. Also check out Ibis and Novotel.
Premier Inns usuall have good prices
The Westland Hotel on Bayswater Road has a family room, which we took with our adult son a few years ago. It was a large room and we were very happy with it. Since then, I've been back there a couple of times. westlandhotel.co.uk/home.sht... I like to book ahead to get a good deal.
I've been looking for cheaper hotel rooms in London, in addition to Travelodge and Premier Inn, you might also have a look at Ibis. I stayed at one in Whitechapel last year and the triple rooms were the same as the singles and doubles, the only drawback is that the room didn't have a lot of privacy, the shower opened right into the bedroom. That was an Ibis Budget, the regular Ibis hotels might be configured differently.
Right now I'm leaning towards Premier Inns, the Travelodges seem a little too basic, the Ibis room structure doesn't work and the Premier Inn are a step up.
I've used http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ Smoothhound.
We stayed in the Ridgemont and I am sure that they have roms for three.
You can get some good prices with Premier Inns. I stayed in one for 10 days when I had the bathroom in my apartment refurbished. The rooms were big and the bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms a tad small but ok.
