We have decided to give the package holiday a miss, and instead fly to Verona and make our own way to lake garda. Does anyone know the best way to get from verona to limone without hiring a car? Help greatly appreciated!
Limone is on the other side of the lake with respect to Verona. To get there you will have to take a bus from Verona to Riva del Garda, which takes about two hours because there are many stops. However, there are buses every 30 minutes or so. When you are in Riva del Garda it takes only 10 or 15 minutes to get to Limone, but buses between the two towns are not frequent. It may be advisable to take a taxi for this last part of the trip: it is short so it should not cost much.
I have no idea of the cost of a car transfer (with driver) from Verona airport to Limone sul Garda, but making an enquiry is easy, so you may consider the idea. This is the website of a company that provides not only transfers with mini-buses but also with cars for 4 passengers. They have an online form to ask for a quote. minibus-taxi.it/noleggio_min...
