Just wondered could anyone please direct me to someone interested in letting a villa with a private pool mid July from a Tuesday to Tuesday.
Thanks so much
despite going to cap d'agde for holidays for many years, we have never had to use a taxi as we have always had the car.
Our next trip will have to be without the car as age has finally beaten us I'm afraid. How we will cope I just don't know but Cap d'Agde is too good to miss.
So I am hoping it will be possible to travel to where we want to travel by Taxi . For instance..... locally to the town, or to Beziers or a trip to Montpelier or to Agde ( I know there is a bus to Agde so that would not be too bad) .
What I need information about, is to know if there IS a local Taxi Company or taxi companies actually based IN Cap D'agde so that we would be able to call one locally ie quickly without having to call them in from Agde or further away than that.
any help on this would be really appreciated.

I am trying to make a route plan, trying to squeeze in 10 days approx 3 cities that I want to see -Bilbao, San Sebastian and then, though it is France,or for others, Northern Catalunya, Perpignan. The cheapest way to fly for me is to Madrid and take a bus or train to Bilbao -and then leave from Barcelona that is very close to Perpignan. I cant seem to find a reasonable way (except for renting a car, that is out of the question for budget reasons) for the San Sebastian -Perpignan bit. I thought would be easy to get an overnight train and just sleep along but I cant find anything. Any help will be appreciated /thanx
what is the best time to go to see the autumn colors?
Hi, 2 of us will be flying into Lyon and plan to spend 2 weeks down south (over Xmas and NY). Since it will be winter, Provence/southeast France with its beaches may not seem to be such a good idea. So we have decided to go Languedoc/Bordeaux.
- any tips on where we must or should go? We definitely want to go Lourdes, and if time permits, to Bilbao/San Sebastian even. We are planning to travel by train.......
- any point in going for wine tours in Bordeauxover winter?
- any other must do, must eat, in the region? We are avid gourmets... :)
I have half-day spare time in Avignon, and would like to visit the Roma monument in either Nimes or Arles. Please advise which one is recommended.
hi, we are arriving in Montpellier and going to Avene. I was going to hire a car to drive there but alot of people have said that it is difficult to drive in france as you cannot read the signs. We are travelling to the thermal springs at Avene. Has anyone done that drive. I think I will be OK as it is aminly country driving or does anyone think we should just get a Limo as were we are going is islolated and hard to find?
What small town in languedoc is best for longer time living? I m looking for place with different cultural and sport activities. Where something alvays is going on with good schools, Lively bars and restaurants, fetes locales, spectacles, nice old architecture. Not montpellier - too big. Not Bigger than 10 000 people. Thanks
Having had incredible advice from members of this forum and the Dordogne forum, my wife and I now have our itinerary set for a September visit. We even have accommodations in Paris.
We need to find a place in Toulouse for only two nights. We want to find a moderately priced hotel or, better yet, a B&B, that isn't too far from the railway station. There are many websites and possible places to look but just in case any of you has a place you recommend, I'd love to have the recommendation.
I know some of you saw my posting re Dordogne and we received many helpful responses. We are
expecting to spend a week in that region and also a week near Carcassone, preferably not far from the town and also preferably closer to Toulouse than to the East.We may also spend a few days in Toulouse.
Our ideal is a beautiful restored villa, with individual rooms that are quite private, and a common eating area in or outside. Lovely house, perfect rural setting, wonderful hosts, an easy 20 minute hike to town, and easy access to daily auto excursions in the region.
Any leads regarding places you know would be very welcome.
I am having a good time researching places (virtual travel!) but would welcome hearing about ones you know.
We're planning a trip to the Languedoc-Roussillon region, based near Carcassone in the first week of the Easter holidays (April 18th - April 24th). Will places (restaurants, bars, museums, historical places, shops etc.) be open that week?
Thanks for any advice
Hi, does anyone know how to get from Rodez to Beziers or vice versa, using public transport?
I'm looking for information about The Little Yellow Train, that runs between Villefranche and Latour-de-Carol.
We'll be staying in Collioure, can we do the train ride as a day trip? - even if we have to use public transport to and fro?
Can we do only a section of the trip?
I have a picture of a "Chateau-le-Champ" somewhere in Cevennes in a book about France called Insight Guides France page 223
Does anyone know of this Chateau and where it is..??
Thanks for any info
I need to decide the best time to travel on Autoroutes from Calais using the one that bypasses Reims/Troyes/and thru Lyon etc.
I need to decide if Sunday 4th July is best for going and 11th or 18th of July to Return ie as no lorries will be on the road OR if a weekday either side of those dates would be better from a congestion point of view.
Can anyhone who does this trip give any "experienced" advice please as to which would be the best best bet. Sundays in that early part of July or weekdays.

Hi, I'm planning a trip to stay in Boutenac - a tiny village near Carcassonne. Unfortunately none of our group will be quite old enough to hire a car so I was wondering what the bus and train systems are like? Are there frequent buses to various places or is everything by train (our nearest stop being Lezignan-Corbiers)... I really hope there is or we may have to change our plans.
