Lots of great things around Kanab but it appears that they are not easy to get to on a short time frame.
Are there vistas in/near the City where one can see a touch of some of monuments etc (Grand Escalade/Vermillion/Paia etc) without having to do a deep penetration on dirt roads?
Basically, is a night or 2 in Kanab worth it if you can't get into the backcountry. (Will just be in a Sedan)
I will be driving from Kanab to Santa Fe, NM. Could anyone recommend a place to stop for a night to break up the journey? I will be driving to Sedona from Santa Fe later in the trip, and plan to stop off near the Petrified Forest, so would like to try a differenmt route to that.
Can you provide directions for hiking to Sugar Knoll east of Orderville?
We will be visiting Best Friends in April of 2014. We have set aside one afternoon and evening to spend in the town of Kanab. Our best plan would be to 1. Visit the best tourist
attractions in the early afternoon. 2. Have a nice meal in the early evening. 3. Visit country and western saloons with dancing and live entertainment in the evening. If you could help suggest the best places to visit for a day such as this, I would greatly appreciate it.
We're from France (Europe) and we'd like to hear about Parry Lodge in Kanab (we're going to be in Kanab next year for vacations): we need a quiet room to sleep in this hotel.
A friend told us of rooms with names of cine stars, but some are not peaceful (he said): or we want to sleep well !!!!
Is it a good idea ?
Is there anybody who slept there and could help us with the names of the rooms ?
Thank you very much.
