Recently settled in Cluj-Napoca, I would like to join a Yoga group. Any suggestions? I live on Plopilor close to Biserica Calvaria. Thanks. Nadyala
I don't know if it's the place to post such a question but I am trying.
I am from Switzerland but was living in Cluj-Napoca for 3 months in 2004 (February to April). There I met a girl named Annamari and we became friends.
When I left Cluj I had her cellular phone number but as I lost my own cellular phone last year I lost also her number.
Annamari is from Hungarian origin and was studying History at Cluj University. She is from a small village in the Center of Romania (sorry I don't remember the name). Her boyfriend Csongi is also from the same village. He was studying archaelogy also at Cluj University.
Now Annamari must be 26 years old and she might have finished her studies. She used to work at the Tranzit House in Cluj but left this place before I left Cluj. I don't know her last name.
Please help me to get in touch with Annamari.
I'm trying to plan a day-trip. We will be based in Cluj but will hire a car for one day.
Where do you suggest we go (in January)?
Iam moving to Cluj for a while and i was wondering if someone knows a place where i can go to Yoga classes. I would also know if there is any place where to get photography classes.
Hello! I´ll visit Cluj in March, and will spend there over a week. I would prefer an appartment rather than a hotel room... anybody knows if that possibility of hiring appartment for days/week appartment exists? where can I get information about it? Another question: I would like to know if it´s worth to rent a car for making trips from Cluj or it is better train/bus? Thanks, Teresa.
My question is similar to the previous one: i have to find accommodation in Cluj for the summer (July + August) when i will be doing my internship. I was wondering if there are students' rooms available for rent during the summer holidays... Multumesc!
I’ll be going to Cluj, Romania for about a month or a little longer, around January or February. I plan on applying at the University for next year. What are the chances of finding an apartment to rent for one month? I heard that a one bedroom apartment goes for around 120 EU. Also is there any advice anyone could give me about the application process for the University? I would be grateful for any advice.
Hi everyone, I going to Romania soon and I need to get from Budapest airport to Cluj. Actually I'm going to Cimpia Turzii but Cluj is probably the cosest major point. What buses are available or should I take a train? Your help is greatly appreciated. George
Hi, it seems like it is only me who ask question s in this forum.... well, i am going to Budapest on the last week of August and i would like to know which transport would be better. I have gone to a travel agency and they told me it is 25?30e to go and back by bus, but for the train i should go to the train station and i dont think they will speak english over there, so maybe someone can help me and tell me more or less the prices. How are the buses which goes over there? are they safe or ahorrible? thanks
Hello, Iam here, in Cluj already, with lot of things to see and do, but alone...it is quite boring...so if you want to speak and interchange spanish or english to help me with my romanian and show me around...send me an email and we can meet here bye
Well, i applied for the Grant (Socrates) to go there, i have the company so now i only have to wait to see if they give it to me...well, i hope so, because it took me quite a lot to decide it but now i cant wait to go and travel ALL around... I just wanted to ask if anybody knows how hard is to get an apartament over there, i dont know about prices and i would like to know before they try to trick me with money. What i would like it would be a studio (with furniture) for one person in the center of Cluj, maybe with tv and not much more, how much that would be? and where can i go to ask for appartaments? iam worried about not knowing any romanian...would it be hard to get a place without the language? i think i will have a place to stay for few days until i find something, but the idea is to go at the end of July to find something for the begining of August and stay for three months... well, if there is someone who lives there and even wants to practice her/his english or spanish i would be more than glad, i hate being in places without knowing anybody. thanks
Hello, I am now in Cluj-Napoca where I will be living for the next 6 months. I am staying in an apartment where there is no possibility to wash my clothes and I am wondering where I could go to have them cleaned (no chemical). Does anybody know whether some kind of laundry exists? Thanks for your help, Veronique

What is the quickest way to travel from Cluj to L'viv - Ukraine. Trains seem to take hours because they go via Budapest. Does anyone know of some easier and quicker way to get there, possibly via Baia Mare or Satu Mare? Thanks
Can anyone tell me where I can do an intensive language course or learn Romanian quickly somewhere near Cluj? Thanks
