Some tours I am considering involve visiting Balestas Islands and Paracas reserve. Someone suggested to me, instead of visiting Ballestas Islands, to instead, have a tour of Ica and Huacachina oasis?
What do suggest and why? Thank you.
These are two different destinations: Balestas, you get in a boat, see the penguins & seals and the famous candelabra carving. Then on to Paracas (you can just go to teh Balesta w/o going to Paracas.
Paracas was nice but mostly for the rugged landscape. I found the restaurant stop a waste of time
Ica has a nice museum with momies and artefacts, Huacachina is more, in my opnion, for a relaxed overnight or couple of days than just to visit. Does the Ica tour also include a visit to a Pisco producer? You can visit Bodegas such as the Vista Allegre or El Catador.
In the end it depends what you prefer& what the Ica tour offers.
