We're visiting Goa for 2 weeks soon and would love to visit Hampi by train.
The train schedule is such that we can stay for either 1 day or 3 days at Hampi.
It seems a long way to go for only 1 day, but is there enough to warrant 3 days stay? (bearing in mind that the train journeys take about 9 hours, so we would give up almost 5 days in Goa)
Views will be most welcome!
we took a day trip from Hospet to Badami and it is a full day. we ended up making a tour arrangements with driver and car with the tour desk at Mallig Hotel but I guess you could search around and take a bus or something -depends on your budget.

I would suggest a minimum of 2 days ie whole 2 days .One day either you shouild hire cycles and go around-some of the sights are preety far awy or and autorickhshaw with driver(Rs 600) for 8 hours. The 2nd day just walk by the river and admire the rocky scenary, revisit the same places on foot as long as you don't tire out.We just returned and iot was fantastic. You might want tocheck my Hampi pages.
thanks but we went two years ago.
Gosh!makes me look a fool!
