I am trying to contact the following Avis Car Rental agency, but would like to do it via email so I can get specific questions answered regarding splitting a 39 day rental into 2 contracts so that I can use my US credit card to cover CDW. Avis International said that this was doable, but the last word is with the local rental location. I cannot wait until I arrive to get answers to my questions.
Does anyone know how I can get the email address for this location?
Possibly someone local in Hamburg call them and ask for the email address?
It would be much appreciated.
Grand Elysee Hotel
Hamburg, 20148 , DE
Phone Number: (49) 40 341651
Hours of Operation: Mon - Fri 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Sat 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
How aboout using their website's "email":
I'd telephone: (49) 40 341651 You'll get an answer more quickly.
Or try the US toll-free number for International Customer Service. 1 (800) 331-1084
You could go to their web site and use the Contact Us link, but I'm not sure exactly where it goes. Might be worth a try if you don't want to call. Be sure you use the Contact section below the Feedback section. prodc.avis.com/car-rental/co...
The reasons for email includes:
- Less chance of a language barrier issue, thus no or less ambiguity
- A hard copy response that I can take with me for when I pick up the car
It's just too easy for someone over the phone to misunderstand what I am asking, or for the rental location later to say, but we don't recall that conversation.
I've used both your pointers to send a question - not sure what, if anything, I'll get back.
And I had already called international customer service. They were very helpful and said I could do what I was asking them about. BUT that is where they then said ultimately it is up to the local rental site. Thus my interest in corresponding directly with this rental site.
I understand and hope you can work it out. Let us know your result and check back as you may get some other answers.
