How do I get from the Aiport to Caribou ferry terminal and the cost
It's about an hour and a half drive from the airport to the Caribou ferry to PEI but it is closed in winter. You're all right if you are coming after May 1 when it starts up again. If you are driving on, it's about 67 dollars but that's a return fare. A walk on passenger only costs 17 return. You would drive north on the highway coming out of the airport, heading towards Truro and then make sure you are in the lane to turn towards Cape Breton just past Truro and head for CB. The ferry is near New Glasgow. Fares and schedules are here ferries.ca/northumberland-fe...
But if you are heading to Prince Edward Island, you have to take the bridge and you have to take the New Brunswick exit from Truro for that. It's the only way to get to the Island in winter. Head to New Brunswick and once across the border look for the signs for Port Elgin and Prince Edward Island. The Confederation Bridge costs 44.50 return. There is a visitor center at the airport that should have maps too.
