I don't know if it is the best beach as Goa has many beautiful beaches but i stayed in Colva. plenty of restaurants, market, accommodation to suit all budgets and easy to get to from Margao or the capital

Hi - I like the north better than the south - much more action in the north. I'd recommend either Baga, Candolim, or Calangute. Tons of restaurants/bars within walking distance as well as plenty of places to stay. Check hotels.com for accommodations. You can sort by price, locations, etc. Enjoy!

We stayed in Baga and the place was so lively, full of restaurants. On the beach you have so many cafes. If what you want to do is rest then drop onto the beach and chill!!!

Palolem is one of the best places to be in South Goa where the beaches are not too crowded and the rates are not too high either. You may stay in some of the shacks on the beach front or in small home stays just behind the shacks all along the beach. Great local and fresh seafood is one of the other reasons why you should head there. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Aadil.

Though there are numerous great beaches in Goa, my pick for the best Goan beach would be Palolem in South Goa.

Hi [VT member 1f214],

It all depends on what you are coming to Goa for and when during the year.. If you want only party, activity etc., you need to be in the North..& if you want to just laze around and relax totally, South Goa...But in the North as well you can relax...just let me know when you want to come to Goa and what you want to do here so i can help you with choosing the place to stay and also if you want search a good accommodation for you..
