I am wondering if anyone has any info on how to get to Sacile by public transport. I will be coming from Milan and would like to take an afternoon train/bus so that I arrive in the evening. I will be staying with some distant relatives and will stay there for a few day and head into Venice to visit there too.
I would like to take a direct way from Milan to Sacile, but if not I can head into Venice early from Milan then take a bus/train into Sacile at night. I am not sure if there is a train station there or in a neighboring city.
If anyone has any info please let me know where to find it.

i'm taking a train rom rome to pordenone, then need to rent a car to poffabro (45 minute drive) for 2 days, then back to pordenone. then a train to venice. i see an offer to buy a cheaper car rental tied in with buying train tickets online. i wasn't sure it's best to buy train tickets online, and need to know the best value for car rental. should i just go ahead and do it all online (trenitalia)?
we're starting in rome (dep.4-26), want to go to poffabro for a couple of days, and then on to venice. how best to get there? (train, then rent a car, then train to venice?) thank you!
My husband and I want to explore Friuli as part of our trip to Italy this fall. We have had no success in locating any apartment rental for a week in Udine, which we thought would be the best base for exploring the region. (I just emailed everyone one this board who lives in Udine for referrals!) I found Al Monastero holiday apartment in Civedale. Has anyone stayed at this place, or in Civedale? What is it like? Can one walk to cafes, restaurants, etc.? How far to Udine? Would appreciate any information you can offer.
Does anyone have any idea how much it takes from Triese to Marco Polo Airport in Venice? I think its the A4 highway.
