Eungella National Park

about the diggings

Is there old ruins of an old town amongst the bush there? is the why they call it "the diggings"?

It's an old gold mining site.

Last time I was there I didn't see any ruins but there are suppose to be old mine shafts scattered in the bush. I have a tip and photo of it on my Eungella page.

There is a campsite site there. Set amongst gum trees and beside a section of Broken River it was very peaceful but didn't have many ammenities. You will need a 4 wheel drive to get there.
