Any feedback about experiences with tour company- ADEO TRAVEL? Are there other great escorted tour companies?
I'd never heard of Adeo Travel, so I looked them up. They appear to be a very new company, only formed in 2012, and their website didn't say that they are ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) bonded.
I live here, so I haven't been on a UK tour so can't comment from personal experience, but Shearings is a company that has been around for a while: http://www.shearings.com/england. I've also heard of Trafalgar tours. Hopefully one of our tour experts will be along soon to advise further.
Thank you for this info. I too have discovered that they are a new company. How about CIE Tours? What is their experience and reputation? In the meantime, we'll look at what you suggested. Thanks again!
I'm afraid I hadn't heard of CIE tours either. They appear to be a well-established operator based in the Republic of Ireland, though.
May I ask what sort of tour you are looking for? Travelling independently would give you more flexibility. There is lots of expertise here on VT to help plan a trip.
CIE Tours are very well established and are the tour company attached to Irelands state run rail system. Reliable and consistent and have been in business for over 30 years.
This is very helpful. All the information I've found on them has been positive.
Where are you in the UK? If you are the north or Scotland then National Holidays are very good.
We have just returned from an 8 day self-drive tour of Scotland, planned with the help of Darryl Walters of AdeoTravel. He made pre-trip routing suggestions which turned out to be very helpful. Everything was as we had hoped; Adeo met or exceeded our expectations. When a glitch arose, Darryl quickly handled it. We would not hesitate to recommend AdeoTravel!
