what is the average price of a beer
This site gives the average prices of domestic and imported beer at the restaurant but i daresay it would be a lot cheaper at the supermarket
Last time I was in Edmonton at a restaurant was at Earl's (predominantly a Western Canadian chain) last year. It looks like a beer is still running at $4.50 plus tip and taxes. Sounds about right for a middle of the road place.
Yes, $4.50 for a "glass" of beer. A regular pint (standard size at all the bars) at Earl's is $6.25. I'd say beer at a bar, regular price, would be minimum $5.50. Once you get into the imports etc. it can be $7.50, $8 or more.
You can't buy beer in a supemarket in Edmonton - got to go to a liquor store/wine-beer shop.
