Which of the above listed palaces should we tour if we can only tour 1 and why? 11 years ago we toured the one at Aranjuez and stopped at El Escorial just long enough to go in the cathedral but did not have time to tour the palace.
What are local buses going from Leon to Ponferrada, Astorga and westward to towns along the El Camino de Santiago trail?
I will be in Medina del Campo for few hours. I need an advice - where can I hold my baggage (if there is no storage room at the rail station) ? Is it possible to store it at any hotel for some money? If yes - how much will be it cost ?
I'll be in Zamora and I want to visit Toro for 2-3 hours. How can I get to Toro from Zamora? I think - by bus, can anybody say where I can see bus schedule?

Hello, I am planning a trip to Spain for next April. I want to take the bus from León to Segovia. If I understand correctly, I have to take a bus with ALSA from León to Valladolid, then another bus with Linecar (whose website is currently down, unfortunately) from Valladolid to Segovia. Does anyone know if I can buy a combined ticket for the entire trip or do I have to buy separate tickets? Thanks in advance for your help!
I am planning my first trip to Spain and picked the Castille Leon province as my main target.
I am mainly interested in medieval and pre-medieval historical visits. I have picked a few potential places to visit during my 14 days trips.
My problem is : how many days should I plan in each of these cities to visit the city itself and the interesting attractions around it.
Here are the cities/attractions I would like to see :
Medina del Campo
Penaranda de Duero
Berlanga de Duero
(I know the last two are quite a way from the rest of the cities so it is realistic?)
Hi I am thinking of booking a long weekend away for my niece and a friend for her 18th birthday. Where do you think 18 year olds would have the most fun Burgos or Valladolid? They can both speak Spanish.
Thanks for any replies
My daughter and my neice are planning a trip in Northern Spain next summer. At the time my neice will be 18 and my daughter a month away from 16. They plan to fly into Vitoria Gastiez and then take a train trip stopping off at Burgos, Valladolid, Zamora, Orense and finishing off in Santiago de Compostela and then flying home. My neice speaks excellent Spanish, my daughter some. They are both sensible girls who have travelled a reasonable amount with parents. My neice and a friend had a week in Andalucia when they were 16 alone and had no problems. My problem is that my daughter's father, who lives on the Costa del Sol, is totally against the trip and thinks I am sending her off to be raped and murdered.
I would be really grateful to hear the opinion of people in the area or who know the area. Am I crazy to consider letting her go or is her father being ridiculous?
We are a group of six thinking of the same thing. We intend to visit Spain, via Madrid, then take a day tour (leisurely) around Segovia. So, not to rush things, we will want to spend an evening in Segovia then travel the next day to Avila. I heard there aren't any direct train connections between Segovia and Avila. And for six, it may be expensive to take 2 taxis.
Can anyone suggest a scenic trip to another town/city before we head back to Madrid the next day after our stay in Segovia?
I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not there is a direct Segovia-Ávila bus, or whether it's necessary to connect in Madrid or Salamanca.
Have been living in Soria for the past 4 months and my placement is coming to an end.. so am going to take the opportunity to do a tour around as much of the region as poss before flying home. Any suggestions of unmissable places?? Or wickedly cheap hostels??! Many thanks!
Is there any train going from Salmanca to Segovia? The Renfe.es just shows 'no direct train'.
Or is there any bus service between the two? Does one need any advance reservation for the bus service (even online)?
Any advice will be highly appreciated!
Can you help me with some tips about nice restaurants in Salamanca, Avila e Segovia? I'd like places where it's possible to try local food... By the way, can you suggest me some traditional dishes and desserts? Thanks.
I am going on a Spanish exchange to Cuéllar near Segovia and I wanted to know if there are any internet cafés there? The family I'm staying with doesn't have the internet and I'd like to stay in touch with my boyfriend via email to send pictures etc. So are there any internet cafes in Cuéllar, Segovia or around there?
Hello: My August trip to Spain has been extended 7 days. I now have five extra days to spend in Casilla y Leon. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what cities, towns I should visit in these five days? My departure and return city is Madrid. Many thanks, Kathleen
Does anyone know of reliable bike rentals in Burgos or Leon to take the final 6 days of the Camino to Santiago. Return of the Bikes? etc. Thanks for your help.
Hola! Does anyone know howmany busses there are from Vallodlid Airport to the city centre? On the site aena.es they say there are only 3 connections a day, but I find this hard to believe! "From Monday through Friday, buses depart from the airport for Valladolid at 11:20 am, 3:15 pm and 7:20 pm" Is this information still correct? Can anyone also tell me where the busstation is in Valladolid city? Gracias! Matt
Holla! Can anyone tell me if there are busconections between Valladolid and Salamanca? I know there is a train that connects both cities, but I would like to know if there is a bus connection too, because normally that would be cheaper I think... Thanks, Matt

¡Hola!
