What is the best part for a single guy 43 to travel to for January , somewhere to relax that's not overly quiet this time of year
Myself and my husband are staying in Costa Adeje this Christmas. Would like to attend a Service Christmas Eve. Any recommendations? We are not Roman Catholic but are not concerned about this as long as we are genuinely welcome. An English Service would be preferable.
My husband and I are planning to spend 7 days in Gran Canaria by the end of November, beginning of December. We are travelling with our daughter who will be almost 13 months by then.
We are trying to figure out which would be the best family-friendly area to stay with a baby. All tips are welcome and also some recommendations for accommodation (we'd rather stay in an aparthotel or in an apartment with cooking facilities and living-area... can't imagine one week in one bedroom with 13 months baby!)
We'd love to be in an area with restaurants and some activity but we are not looking for the busiest part in the island with night life and very touristy places.... Although all island must be very toutisty I'm afriad.
On the other hand, we'd love to be able to walk to a beach nice for babies and not have to jump into a car all the time. We will consider renting a car to visit the island. Any tips on this? What to do with a baby besides the beach?
Thank you in advance to you all!
We are looking for a place to spend one week by the end of November, beginning of December. We are traveling with our (by then) 1 year old daughter so we'd rather stay in a place with good weather and not having to catch a long flight. As we are from Portugal we thought about the canary Islands.
Now we just have to choose one island! Any advice? Considering we'll be with a (possibly) toddler by then? We hate very touristy places and resorts but we are aware that maybe we'll have to "close our eyes" a bit this time.
Hi There, I just wanted peoples advice on the weather on pico teide at the end of February. Do you think its a ok time to trek to the top? Thanks
Hi! I am in holidays in st Agustin:) where can I watch match of euro cup 2016 if they don't show it in Spanish tv? Which bar u recommend?
can i buy white rye sourdough bread in Tenerife
can i buy prune juice in Tenerife?
Any recommendations please on Spanish Restaurants in Caleta de Fuste, Fureteventura
Arriving for a week soon.
I´m planning to stay in Tenerife/Canary islands from October to February or March 2017. My favorite location is Los Christianos. Does anyone know what´s the best way to rent flat there? Preferably furnished.
I´m NOT looking for holiday apartments, cause they´re incredibly expensive. I have something of about 600 € per month maximum in mind. The cheaper, the better. Doesn´t need to be luxurious. 1 bedroom, kitchen, bath would be alright.
Recommendations for accommodation for retired couple looking to stay for a week in Fuerteventura in April.Self catering with a pool please.
Hi there, Can anyone recommend a good resort for a family with kids. We don't mind which island but don't want Blackpool in the Sun. We went to Castillo Caleta de Fuste on Fuerteventura last year and really enjoyed it, so some where similar on another island. We have mostly gone to Greece before and liked resorts like Scala in Kefalonia and Archavari in Corfu, a resort with enough places to eat and drink different every night but not to commercialised. Any recommendations gratefully received.
Finally decided on somewhere in the Canary Islands - but where - can anyone make any suggestions? To be honest I have had a hellish year, so I want peace, tranquility. I wouldn't be happy with the young set drinking lager and getting drunk or the numerous boards of fish and chips! I am looking for a more cultural experience, but peace! Coming from London (love it) - but peace is needed!! I have heard the north is better, but where? Any recommendations? I don't mind the beach, but would also be happy with a greenery, nature etc. I am looking to go in February for some sun as I suggested in another post. Thanks for your help!
Apologies if this has been asked before. I'm considering visiting either Lanzarote or Fuerteventura in the summer, haven't been to either since I was a kid so unfamiliar with both islands. I was wondering whether people have seen many stray animals around the resorts? I understand pretty much everywhere in the world has stray cats and dogs but I really hate seeing tiny, skinny kittens or packs of dogs running around, it really upsets me (Crete was heartbreaking!) and would put me off booking a holiday there. Any information? Thanks!

Hi, my partner and I will be visiting the Canary Islands for two months over Christmas.
We are really keen to camp out and have discovered a number of state run camp sites which sound great but hard to find much out about, I do understand you must get a permit to camp.
Loving the outdoors and exploring, we don't mind a lack of facilities and being a bit out of the way.
Any information about camping on Gran Canaria and Tenerife would be greatly appreciated!
We would also be very up for helping out on any projects, anything eco-minded, help with building, caring for animals, gardening and so on, especially if there is availability for camping!
So if anyone can think of anywhere or anyone who could help, please get in touch!
I've been looking for accomodation somewher on the Islands, but I haven't found what I hoped for.
So my question is if anyone knows of any beach hut/surf shack type things to rent on the beach.
do they have any special jewelry there
I plan my diving trips' schedule till the end of the year and one of the destionations I would like to go is Canary Islands in mid-September. I have never been to Canary Islands before, so could anyone, who had already travelled to the Islands give few recommendations:
1) The island, which has most of must see dive sites not too far away.
2) The dive center, which has the best price/quality ratio on the island.
3) Dive sites for 5 days of diving that impressed you the most!
Acomodation's quality is not very important for me, so I can even stay in a hostel or camp.
P.S. Oh, any recommendadion as for non-diving activities for my wife will be appreciated :)
My boyfriend and I are travelling to el salobre next Saturday. Can anyone tell me what kind of weather we should expect?

we appreciate any help, we only have cabin lugguage so limited on space Therefore want to Be sure were packing the right sort of stuff
who has a recommendation for a hotel/ Finca in El Hierro?
We would like hiking. I absolutely need a car or is it possible by bus to explore the island and get to the starting point for the hike? Are there any other tips for the island, travel period March 2015. Thank you.
Anyone know how long it takes to get to Puerto de Mogan from the airport? Some said an hour and 1/4 but was that before the motorway was finished because google maps says 37 mins!
I'm going to thr Canary island in November. Will the weather still be warm? And will it be expensive for me to island hop?
Hi everyone, from 16 november 2014 to 23 novembre 2014 I will have a week's holiday with my family; we would like go to Canary Island. In your opinion which Island is the better in this period? also are there a beautiful temeperature? it's possibile in november go to the beach, swimm in the ocean?
Thank you so much.
We are in search of some winter sun in November, although we are more interested in historical sites, attractive scenery and villages than lying in the sun, clubbing or cities. I know to avoid the most southerly resorts. I have researched self-catering villas and cottages in Tenerife extensively but still cannot settle on an area that is non-touristy or bordering on urban sprawl but is not entirely remote. There also needs to be some guarantee of sun rather than rain. Would one of the other Canary Islands suit us better, or is there an area in Tenerife I have overlooked? I am an artist and hope to paint there, so views of the sea and mountains are important.
Hi planning a holiday with my husband and my 10 year old and 8 year old , can any of you recommend a good central in all inclusive hotel in the resort please? Thanks michelle

Can anybody with experience of longish stays in Canaries, recommend any agency/contact for dealing with apartment/accommodation rentals for around 2 months.
Have searched and seen many but as per the beauty of this site would prefer to hear from anyone who has actually/or is stayed/staying there
Not so much from a holidaying point of view but to get a taste of living there for longer than your average holiday.
Is there a main bus stop in the centre of Meloneras; Can you catch a direct bus to get there from either Puerto Mogan or Puerto Rico. If so which number bus route. Thank you
