Ayia Napa

AYIA NAPA vs MYKONOS

HI,
LAST YEAR I VISITED MYKONOS WITH 4 BUDDIES. WE ARE FROM THE UNITED STATES. TO US THE PARTYING WAS INSANE!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN 24/7 PARTYING LIKE THAT WHICH I EXPERIENCED IN MYKONOS. WE LOVED IT. MY QUESTION FOR ANYONE WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH BOTH MYKONOS AND AYIA NAPA, IS AYIA NAPA SIMILAR?? WORTH THE VISIT?
I HAVE BEEN TO IBIZA,AND PREFERRED MYKONOS. THANK YOU FOR ANY INSIGHT

Ayia Napa is reported to be THE Clubbing place in Cyprus.
Last 2 times I was there it was heaving with young people going to clubs.
Can't give you any recommendations as I am not into that but wait for other VTers to give you their opinions

Hi Superjohne, Yes if you are after clubbing indeed Ayia Napa is the perfect place for you. It can even get more wild than in Mykonos at times especially the months of July and August.Have a look on the Ayia Napa Guide for more information. Check also this link: [original VT link]
If you are planning a trip out there check with tickets and accommodation much earlier because it is an extremely popular destination and much in demand.
I am sure you are going to have the BEST holidays ever out there!

Yes, I agree with the previous posts.
Napa is wild during the summer months. Last August I drove up the main street at one o'clock in the morning and it was heaving. I think I was the only sober person around.
The beach at midnight was also very busy.
But be careful if you meet any local girls - the local guys get very protective and many fights have resulted from visitors trying to chat-up 'their' girls.
