What Do You Do To Deal Coming Off A Mind Blowing Holliday?

Recently I returned from a trip to Thailand and Qatar. It was an amazing trip spent with amazing friends, Amazing food and touring the local sites. Problem is I now find myself wishing I was back their instead of being home and concentrating on what needs to be done here. How do you normally unwind and refocus on day to day life?

Take something you learned there and apply it. Whether it's a food that you learn to cook or a saying or a tradition or way of life, make it part of your life.

Send letters or thank yous to people you met or folks that may have helped you along the way (if possible).

Print a few of those photos and put them up. They don't belong hiding on your hard drive.

Throw a dart at a map and plan the next trip. There are too many life altering places in this world.

I was faced with the same problem 27 years ago and decided that I would just have to make a career out of traveling the globe and so I did. :)

I have no degree at all as I lift school at 16. I am totally selfmade as a globetrotter. I started off at the age of 18 vagabonding around Europe and the Middle East, doing odd jobs along the way. Then later I went in to the tourist trade and these days I work mainly as a tour leader and a consultant for travel agencies around the world. I get these jobs because I have lot's of travel experience and can solve problems quickly in far away locations. I have been to 73 countries so far and is sitting in a hotel room in Porto writing this. · (2 likelikes)

I would really like to know. I would love a chance to do this if I was given the chance too. I do a lot of reviews for Trip Advisor but it is on my own dime and I do not get paid for it. Share the information please. LOL · (1 likelikes)

Find locals to debrief/learn the languages, journal about it, find other's blogs about it, plan on moving back there to teach English), or plan your next trip.
