Best, most authentic ramen?

I want to eat authentic Japanese Ramen. What is a good store that is one of those non-chain types but famous among locals?

Try "Fuunji". 5 years winner of Japan's largest restaurant review website called tabe-log. I took my friends form Indonesia, and they said it was the best ramen they ever had.

My Friend, if you are in Tokyo, most of the stores provides real ramen. Do not hesitate to go and taste it in diff places. That will gives you the chance to know what ramen is, and later be able to say: this ramen is awesome. Because you have tasted something to compare with. In other country you need to search for real ramen, but in Tokyo, just enter to a store and enjoy. And if u have the chance, also go to the place suggested by Takahisa san. Enjoy Tokyo!

You're absolutely right! Japanese locals may be picky about which place they go to, but for Westerners (who have never had the real thing) you'll find excellent ramen on just about every street. The smaller the place, the better IMO. · (0 likelikes)

Authentic ramen, I don't have a specific place in mind. But if it's lunch time and you see a line at a ramen shop, you can't go wrong. To make it easier, there is also, Raman Street thats under Tokyo Station. Where you can't make a bad choice, its all pretty delicious.
