November trip to the Southern Caribbean Islands

I am planning to go to the Southern Caribbean islands for 3 weeks in November. Grenada, Trinidad, Saint Lucia, and Barbados are all on the list of countries that I'm debating visiting. Any ideas for lodging, interesting things to do, easiest way to get between the islands, best route, and beautiful places to go on any/all of the islands? I'm also open to travel suggestions for other Caribbean islands.

I visited Trinidad and Tobago a few years back. To be honest, Port of Spain-Trinidad was not one of my most memorable places. There is a beautiful park (Queen's Park Savannah North Stand) and some gorgeous old Victorian homes around it, as well as a neat mountain top fort (Fort George). Beyond that, the city felt like an overrun cruise stop.

I did very much enjoy Tobago though. It was very tropical, unpopulated and relaxing! We rented a car one day and drove all around the island, stopping for lunch at Jemma' Seaview Kitchen Treehouse (amazing food, gorgeous view). There is also a waterfall, that requires a leisurely hike (both excellent) called Argyle Waterfall.

Barbados was a more recent trip-the western side of the island is a bit crowded. We stayed Hilton Barbados Resort which was a great location if you want to venture north, south or to the middle of the island. Although, if you want a water views, breaking waves and seclusion-we visited Atlantis Hotel and I would definitely stay there on a second visit. If you want to be in the center of things-with nightlight, and plenty of things to walk around to see, shop, dine, I would stay in Saint James. Make sure to visit the Harrison's Cave and do not even think about missing Oistins fish market. And the tour/tasting at Mount Gay Rum Distilleries is well worth the stop!

I live in Trinidad. Its best to stay in hotels which could be pricey but we have guest houses that might be more affordable if its a long trip. Port of Spain is the best place to be both during the day and night. Grenada is beautiful and Barbados beaches are excellent. I have never been to St Lucia. Hope this helps.
