Hi there! It depends on where you actually want to go. I can highly recommend visiting Lucerne and Mt Pilatus. It is a 40 minute drive from Zurich. Lucerneimage from switzerland-tours.chLucerne is a wonderful medieval town, with lot's of interesting buildings that are adorned with artwork.

If you fly into Geneva, then you're a very reasonable drive to a number of beautiful towns and cities along Lake Geneva (Lake Léman): Nyon, Morges and of course Lausanne. Geneva sits right on the French border, in case you're inclined to wander into France. Évian-les-Bains is a short drive. Early December tends to be lovely, weather-wise, because of the moderating lake effect, although it's too early for the Christmas markets.
