What are must-dos in Sedona, Arizona?

I have an upcoming trip to Sedona, Arizona, early next year for 4 days. Looking for recommendations on must-dos when it comes to sightseeing, great restaurants, spas, hiking and other outdoor activities. What do you suggest? Thanks in advance....

The scenery is fantastic, so almost any drive is beautiful. Tours are available that take you on all terrain vehicles into the desert. I recommend visiting Tlaquepaque. It is a shopping centre built like a Spanish village featuring arts and crafts. Some good restaurants as well. In my opinion, Chapel of the Holy Cross (a church jutting up from a red rock mountain) is a must. If you wish to go outside of Sedona, there are a handful of wineries between Sedona and Cottonwood, 30 minutes a way. Jerome, a funky old mining town with streets that zigzagging up the mountain, is less than an hour away. It claims to be full of ghosts (ghost tours available) and is home to a number of artists.

The mountain biking is world-class. Talk to the folks at Sedona Bike & Bean. One of the better B&Bs is the Red Agave Resort (absolutely love the place). The local brewery is strictly OK. But you should be able to find some decent food there, and probably a brew pub with some regional brews.

I'm not a fan of the Jeep tours. I'd rather hike than crawl over rocks and smell fumes.

Hiking/biking? Bell Rock is a good place to start, though it's rather easy for experienced mountain bikers. Get close to Cathedral Rock Trail, too. And Secret Mountain and Soldier Pass Trail are good for just about anything. Oh, and beware of the Red Rock Pass parking spots.

Sedona is beautiful! I highly recommend dinner at Elote Cafe. This is easily some of the best Mexican cuisine in Sedona. Chef Jeff Smedstad personally came over and thanked us, and we also ended up buying his Elote Cafe Cookbook. Great authentic experience, and fresh food.

If you enjoy hiking, there are no shortages of beautiful destinations! Some of my favorites were Devil's Bridge Trail which leads to a beautiful natural bridge (see attached photo) as well as Fay Canyon Trail. I would also highly recommend doing a self-guided tour on either ATVs or in a buggy (depending on your comfort level with driving in the terrain). We used Sedona ATV Rental and they were fantastic. There are also jeep tours available, but we found the self-guided was much more enjoyable for us. You really can't go wrong - Sedona is a beautiful place.Devil's Bridge Trail
