    Hey Sharon,

Renting a bike is the best way to see Hilton Head. There are extensive bike paths and a beach you can ride on at mid to low tide. Chow Daddy's or A Lowcountry Backyard Restaurant are great local places to eat.

Savannah was some world class walking ghost tours.

    Have fun!

    Dan

haley pretty much hit it out of the park! Crystal Beer Parlor is a must! do not go to "the lady and sons" not because she is racest, most savanniens are (i lived there for 14 years) because it is an awful buffet. some other points you need to know are, no open container law downtown! YOU CAN DRINK ON THE STREETS!!! and it is quite ruff, i was mugged at gunpoint 3 seperate times, and was broken into twice!! just a heads up. stick to the touristy and SCAD areas and you'll be ok. i love savannah but the race tension and violence sent me and the wife on a road trip to find the perfect town, thank you fort collins and green colorado!! lol

Definitely explore the downtown area. River Street and E Broughton St are packed full of good shopping, food, and history. As far as where to eat, Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room is great. Crystal Beer Parlor is another local favorite. Spanky's Pizza Galley & Saloon on River Street is great. If you're into ice cream you need to go to Leopold's Ice Cream on Broughton. Tubby's Tank House seafood is great downtown. If you head out to Tybee Island, try A-J's Dockside Restaurant or The Crab Shack. Fort Pulaski National Monument is also on Tybee and is a fun place to explore. Hope you enjoy your trip! Savannah is amazing!

Stay anywhere downtown or in Thunderbolt. Enjoy the riverwalk with all the shops and eateries.
