Must do things in SF for a 5 day trip?

My hubby and I have never been to SF and in need of much needed adult trip.  We want to see what SF has to offer and wanted to know best area to stay and what are some hidden gems. Our plan is 5 days in SF with a day to see Napa.

    Fun!!

Be sure to bike the Golden Gate Bridge, have a sundae at Ghiradelli Square, explore Chestnut St, and walk around the Palace of Fine Arts. Eat at farm:table and Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in little Italy!!!

I suggest you tour the Marin Headlands a bit. It offers the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the city and plenty of views. It also has a great lighthouse, a seal rescue center, beach and military history. If you have the entire day to the area head over to Mt. Tam. All this sights can be as physical or relaxed as you all wish. You can also rent a Go car and tour around. Lands End is another gem and great place for an afternoon stroll.

I recommend looking for a place on AirBnB in SF if you're really looking for something special. Most of the hotels in the happening of the area are overpriced and less than spectacular. Hope your trip planning goes well!

When are you planning to be in SF? As for Napa,

    1) I recommend setting up wine tasting appointments in advance for some great wineries - the experience is much better and personalized this way (as opposed to battling crowds for pours around a bar). Inn addition, the better wineries tend to be appointment-only. Am more than happy to provide winery recs if you're interested.

    2) Grab a dinner reservation at one of the great restaurants in Yountville or St Helena. My favorite for a casual, outdoor and delicious experience is Goose & Gander - amazing wine list and food, and beautiful outdoor seating.
