A surf and turf option....Rent a bike near Fisherman's Wharf. Bike along the coastal path, through Crissy Field, then go up to the Golden Gate, bike across. Go down the hill just at the north end of the span and bike into Sausalito. Continue along the bay all the way around to Tiburon. Stop at one the restaurants at the end of the road for lunch and a great view: Guaymas Restaurant for Mexican or Sam's Anchor Cafe or Servino Ristorante.

Then reward yourself and take the ferry back to the City.

The city is only 7x7 square miles. I would start near Fisherman's Wharf and go west along the coastal path through Crissy Field, the Presidio, Lands End, Eagle Point Labyrinth, Sutro Baths, along Ocean Beach, then through Golden Gate Park to the Panhandle, Haight-Ashbury, Alamo Square, then Hayes Valley and anywhere else on your way back to fisherman's wharf that interests you or head to The Castro from haight to the mission and then back to your starting point. You will see all the best views, and hit all the highlights of here. It is a pretty easy ride minus some hills.
