Definitely hike Camelback Mountain If your up for a hike. A little easier hike is Piestewa Peak which is like doing lots of stairs. Both are great!! There are some great hikes to do out there!

I agree with Sara and Allison if you like to hike. And if you like unique scenery, really don't miss going to Sedona to see the red cliffs, and take a great hike through Oak Creek Canyon. If you like golf, we have more golf courses per capita than any other city in the country! You probably just saw the Waste Management Open (terrible name!) on TV. You can play the Tournament Players Club (TPC) for a huge green fee, or its sister next door, the Desert Course , for a lot less.

Outdoor activities - Hike Camelback Mountain in the AM for Sunrise (nice later in the day too). Desert Botanical Garden are nice, Phoenix Zoo is nice too. Lots of Golfing (I am not a golfer). South Mountain Park , Dreamy Draw Recreation Area , Usery Pass , McDowell Mountain Regional Park have great trails for hiking and mountain biking. Saguaro Lake is kind of unique if you want to drive around. If you plan to go outside of the Phx metro area - Tucson has the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Sabino Canyon that are nice if you are planning to go that way. Sedona and Grand Canyon National Park are a MUST see.

Also at the right time of year floating the salt river ( too cold now )

Hike Camelback Mountain ! Not an easy hike, not too hard. Views from the top are unreal. There are a few smaller mountains in the area but this one is the best. If you have time, you could tube down the Salt Lake or head up to Sedona and hike around the Red Rock State Park too. Have Fun!

With the fantastic weather we've been having you've got to take a hike Phoenix South Mountain Park or Camelback Mountain - if you get to the top you get a great view of the entire city and it's a pretty easy hike.... or wander around Papago Park hope that helps!

If you have time for a drive scenic Rt.88 in Apache Junction goes past the Superstition Mountains to Tortilla Flat AZ and then on to Roosevelt Dam and there is a Salerno Indian Cliff Dwelling there. It is a narrow road with lots of turns but very scenic.

If you have any interest in baseball the majors spring training games begin. Very fun the fields are smaller and the players closer and the atmosphere is party time. Good way to work on a tan. The weather is usually great. Warm and sunny. Lots of fun hiking places if you like that. Our favorite is South Mountain Park , but most people like Camelback Mountain .
