The best connections to those islands is from Oban.

    Rental Car or Plane?
If you take a rental car then check out the website of Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd Ferry transport. There are many informations available including timetables, prices and so on.

There is also a possibility to go there by plane. The company how operates there is General Trippy MediaHebridean Air Service.

Oban only offers two crossings (at best, depends on the season) per week to Islay at best. The correct terminal is Kennacraig with several crossings per day. · (0 likelikes)

The main ferry terminal for Islay is Kennacraig, Kennacraig Ferry Terminal with several daily departures to Islay to either Port Ellen or Port Askaig. You can also travel from Oban (via Colonsay), but that's only twice a week at best and takes much longer.

To get to Jura you take the small ferry from Port Askaig, also running several times every day.
