Girls long weekend in NYC Feb 15

Hi There,

My bestie and I are going to New York in February 2015 for my hen-do and I am after ideas of things we can do. We have both been to New York before so have done a lot of the obvious touristy things. We are in our early thirties so would like suggestions for both day and evening actives. Even though it's my hen-do I would like to be a little more creative that the Sex in the City tours etc!!

Any ideas would be appreciated.

thanks

Rochelle 😀

We have done walking tours when we travel but never at home. Well, we just tried one recently and absolutely loved it! Check out Frank H. Jump of Fading Ads of New York City(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Frank-H-Jumps-Fading-Ad-Blog/379132564252) for a tour. Ours was in TriBeCa, where we saw tons of stuff we have walked by many times and missed. It was really cool and Frank, a super nice guy.

There are tons of walking tours in the city to suit everybody's interest, from big cool companies such as http://www.bigonion.com/ to a one-man operation like Frank.

Also, our site posts weekly happenings in a section called NY Sweet Home that might match something you want to do: http://bookertravels.com/tips/nyc-sweet/

    Wishing you great travels! Tania

I'd head over to Brooklyn for a change of scenery. It's a short trip over on the L or G trains. You can even Ferry over from the financial district at South Street Seaport. Williamsburg is a cool area with tons of bars, shops and cool food joints. The Greenpointarea also has a lot of the same these days and brunch at Five Leaves Restaurant is to die for. If you've already done the super touristy things then this could make for a fun day or two. Enjoy your stay!
