Family-friendly restaurants to experience Midwest foods

I'm taking a family vacation with my wife and three teenagers to WI this summer and we'll be stopping by Milwaukee for a day.  Does anyone have any family/group-friendly restaurant recommendations in the city?  We really want to try some Midwestern specialties.

Solly's Grille is the birthplace of the butter burger and nobody does it better. Highly recommended.

To beat the summer heat, go to Leon's Frozen Custard. Best vanilla custard on the planet.

To pick up some amazing sausages to take home, you have to got to Usinger's. Generations of Usinger's have been producing sausage for all of Milwaukee to enjoy.

By the way, if you and your wife manage to get alone time and want to enjoy some beer, check out Hofbrauhaus. German tradition is alive and well there. Enjoy some polka and grab a stein of beer.

Great restaurant to try out in Milwaukee with family and friends would be The Safe House (Safe House). It's a spy themed restaurant with tons of neat hidden gems on the inside. Entrance is like an old-time speak-easy. Tasty Midwestern-American Food.

Wisconsin is known for it's German Heritage, especially Milwaukee. I did a write-up for Discover Wisconsin. I would recommend Kegel's Inn, Milwaukee Brat House, or Karl Ratzsch's. Check out the Historic 3rd Ward in downtown Milwaukee. It's a nice river walk with plenty of restaurants, gift shops, and attractions.

    Some other attractions in MKE:
    Usinger's
    Miller Brewery
    Miller Park
    Harley-Davidson Museum®
    Pabst Mansion
