Activities for a non-beach goer in Maui, please

Is there such a thing as a non-beach activity in Maui? I have to be in Maui for a full week early next year for my nephew’s wedding and I am just not a beach person to put it mildly (I love to travel, mind you, but spending all day at the beach just isn't my cup of tea!). I’d be thrilled if someone could help me figure out what to do that doesn’t involve sand.

I see you are going to Maui, and I see you are sitting on a horse. You can go horseback riding at several stables around the island. There are 3 or 4 ziplining companies to chose from. That is a fun activity. How about a drive to Hana Hana , lunch in Paia , a drive through the upcountry area to the Maui's Winery, a goat cheese farm ( Surfing Goat Dairy ), a lavender farm ( Ali'i Kula Lavender ), biking down the volcano, hiking into the volcano, Maui Ocean Center , walking around Lahaina on a Friday eve (art night). There's lots to do. Take a look at this great website: www.gohawaii.com. Click on Maui and then look for activities on the right side. That will give you some good ideas as well. Have fun! :-)

Maui activities: Snorkeling at Molokini Crater - take a boat charter, includes whale watching.

Hiking the Waihe'e Ridge Trail - 5 miles round trip with great views of ocean, mountains and city.

Road to Hana - beautiful winding road on eastern side of island.

Dragon's Teeth - cool rock formations.
