Where can I go to see a cranberry harvest and learn about the process?

Any good cranberry festivals or places where my kids can get "hands-on" with cranberry harvesting?

Third generation cranberry grower, here. :) The Makepeace Cranberry Harvest Festival in Wareham, MA is the best place to see the harvest in the New England Area. Everything is reasonably priced, like $2 for a pony ride, free pumpkin painting and tours of working bogs. Also, during the harvest season, don't hesitate to pull up to a local bog and watch/photograph/ask questions about the harvest. Most growers love to answer questions.

Yes, avoid the Edaville cranberry festival. Over priced (@$18/pp) and not nearly as nice. Makepeace let's the kids build their own bog in a cup and take home vines, plus my dad and other Ocean Spray growers do the tours. :) · (2 likelikes)
