    Mmmm.. yes! Another great question!

I just spent the past 1.5 months in India and have great suggestions! My all time favorite dish has got to be Paneer Butter Masala.

I spent a lot of time in Bangalore and wrote a blog on 5 of the best dishes: http://giveforgranted.com/2014/09/5-must-try-foods-while-in-bangalore-leave-ur-mark-cooking-class/

    Mumbai
Other regions I would suggest for food would be:
    - New Delhi
    - Kerala - if you like fish
    - Hyderabad
    - Mumbai

    Best,
    Jenna

    Hi Coralie

Indian food and cooking is different in each state and there are specialities belonging to each. Based on my experience, I would suggest you to try combination of snacks, curries and sweets.

Someone has done a great job of compiling this image here :) So you can use that for the major specialities of each region.

Kaju (cashew) Curry is a fantastic vegetarian dish. I had it various places in Jaipur and Jaisalmer - it quickly became a favorite of mine (along with staples of Daal and Chana Masala).
