Good areas for Airbnb/apartment rental. Any advice would be helpful!

I am backpacking with two friends and we are looking into renting an apartment for the five days we are there. I have been looking around at some websites (airbnb, home away etc.) but would love some advice from anyone familiar with this in Hong Kong. Also any input on good areas to look at. We definitely want to take advantage of the night life.

I would suggest staying in Tsim Sha Tsui in the Kowloon area. That's pretty much the heart of Hong Kong. Very centrally located everything, lots of stores and restaurants, tons of action from 5 AM till very late at night, very walkable.KowloonKowloon

If you need a point of reference to search with, look into places around Kowloon Park, which is a huge, gorgeous public park with flamingos, ponds, fish, and great swimming pool.

Kowloon ParkFor nightlife, walk on over to Knutsford Terrace and you'll see a ton of bars for some good barhopping. Prepare to see many travelers and expats there!

Sarah, look into: Central, Sheung Wan, or Wan Chai. The expat/tourist night life is centered around Central and Wan Chai, and most of the tourism areas are in or around Central. Hong Kong is incredibly well-connected though, so even if you decide to get a room further out (even in Kowloon), none of these places is more than 5-10 minutes from each other. Hope it helps and enjoy!

I used to live in Sheung Wan. Quieter than Kowloon but only 10 mins walk from Central (Hong Kong) and Lan Kwai Fong (nightlife area). Recommended.

I would recommend anywhere around Nathan Road closer to Austin Station / Jordan Road Bus Stop from what I remember there are a lot of places to stay. Plus, it's pretty well connected, the night market is close by

    I hope this helps.

Anything around Kowloon Park should be convenient enough to be near TST, yet serene enough away from the hustle and bustle. I would also recommend. So as mentioned earlier, Nathan Rd, etc. should do fine. You should also consider Mid-levels for a nice view down into the city.
